Why can’t I turn my range hood fan off?
Certain hoods contain the Heat Sentry™ feature. This feature automatically turns on the fan blower speed to high when excessive heat is detected. This prolongs the life of the hood by reducing damaging effects of high temperatures. Once the temperature has been reduced, the hood will turn off or to the last setting used.
